Blessing of the Girls papercut Hebrew
It is a widespread custom for parents to bless their children, of all ages, upon returning from the synagogue on Friday Night. The Hebrew words read: May God make you like Sarah, Rebecca, Rachel and Leah. This blessing expresses the hope that the girls will regard the Matriarchs of Israel as role models and adopt their righteous ways. The blessing is surrounded by a beautiful painting of flowers and a double frame of delicate cuts.
