Blessing of the Boys papercut Hebrew
It is a widespread custom for parents to bless their children, of all ages, upon returning from the synagogue on Friday Night. The Hebrew blessing reads: "May God make you like Ephraim and Menashe" (Genesis 48, 20). It is part of Jacob's blessing for his grandchildren, Joseph's two sons. The blessing is surrounded by a beautiful painting of flowers and a double frame of delicate cuts.
